Customer had a LiftMaster garage door opener so troubleshooting was not as complex as with some other brands. After diagnosing the problem we located the cause in the motor gear, which was worn and therefore barely able to produce sufficient horsepower to move the door. Replacing the garage door opener gear and lubricated the new one along with the rest of the pulley joints ensured movement was smooth and responsive.
