After we had received the call from Mrs. Barnes, our tech went to her home to find out what the problem was. He troubleshot the garage door opener, ran a diagnostic check, and examined the hardware parts only to find that the root of the problem was the opener drive gear. It was too worn – that was why it didn’t function as it should have. Due to this, the opener couldn’t produce the amount of horsepower as usual thus causing the door to be unable to open or close. Our tech replaced the worn opener drive gear and the problem was solved.
